It started with a
dog-eared recipe card
and too much butter.
Our founder, Maya, had been baking the same family recipes since she was eight years old — the ones typed out on index cards, stained with vanilla extract, passed down with handwritten notes in the margins.
After years of shipping cookie tins to family across the country and watching their faces light up on FaceTime, she thought: why can't everyone have this? Not a cookie from a chain. Not an overpriced box designed to look artisan. Just the real thing.
Doughlightful was born in a home kitchen in 2022 — and we have kept it that way on purpose. Every batch is still small. Every ingredient still real. Every box still feels like it came from someone who cares.
